Second class of SheLEADS grads

Thirty-five career-and-community focused women graduated from the second SheLEADS class on June 24 after completing Arizona Women’s Education & Employment (AWEE)’s six-month professional development, training and sharing network program.

SheLEADS is a professional development and skills training workshop series for women invested in career success, community and each other. When a woman is connected to a better job by generous people in the community, her life is transformed.

SheLEADS is open to professional women in all sectors and industries who are launching, or have launched their career and want to advance in management and leadership roles.

Graduation ceremonies were held at McCord Hall on the Arizona State University campus in Tempe. Graduates represent industries that include banking, education, construction, law, human resources, healthcare, nonprofits, government, sports, utilities and travel among others. Thirty-one women graduated from the inaugural SheLEADS class last year.

The third SheLEADS class will begin in January 2018 and the application process starts in the fall. More information will be provided in the coming months. The program includes six monthly training workshops with topic-based panel discussions and conversations. For more information, visit
